Loneliness is dangerous for your health

Loneliness is as bad as for your health as smoking or obesity, it’s being warned.
Isolation could increase blood pressure, stress and the risk of depression, weaken the immune system and make it harder to sleep.
Loneliness can even sped up the progression of dementia, with regular socializing keeping the brain supple.
Loneliest people had blood pressure readings up to 30 points higher than gregarious types and equated the health divide to that between smokers ans non-smokers and gym-users and couch potatoes. It is better to have strong friendships than lots of acquaintances and that it had deep evolutionary roots.
When time takes its toll on the body, loneliness steepens that slope of descent.

    You look sad here. My wish for you is that you never had to have one day of loneliness ever in your life. May you always have good friend and family to surround you.

    I agree with you girl. Because people tend to eat when sad or lonely. But how come you look sad on this picture and you are still sexy? lols

    Hello dear,
    You have a good blog, but I don't seem to agree with your this post on loneliness. I am lonely since 1992 treading a lone path on studies, research, travelling, writing and now blogging. I have no health problem at all. Any way I appreciate your good effort.

    hmm yup your right on loneliness being bad for your health. because you don't have any self-esteem to build. you don't have some one to talk to. it's like your just there alone in the dark.
